The Batmobile from the 1960s Batman TV series, starring Adam West and Burt Ward, has sold for $4.2 million at auction. For those of us of a certain age, the Batmobile from the original Batman TV series of the 1960s is the only Batmobile, and probably the first time we saw a car being the star of a TV show. Starring Adam West and Burt Ward, the Batman TV series was tongue in cheek and full of on-screen graphics like POW, WHAM and THWACK as Batman and Robin took on the bad guys.
Peugeot finally recreates the 205 GTi - the Peugeot 208 GTi arrives at Geneva
The Peugeot 208 GTi Concept has been revealed, powered by the 197bhp 1.6 litre turbo from the RCZ. Debuts at Geneva 2012. Yesterday we had what we were convinced was a tease for the Peuegot 208 GTi, and we were right.
Top Gear Series 21 – the tease begins (video below)
The new series of Top Gear – Series 21 – is due to start some time soon, although exactly when is still a little in doubt as the BBC are staying tight-lipped. That said, they have released the first – very short – tease video (below) for the new series with Jeremy Clarkson sitting in what looks like a VW up! moaning about the number of lorries he’s encountering.
